DSLR Digital Camera Sensor Cleaning Service

We have been performing sensor cleans for over 15 years and have yet to find one that we haven't been able to clean!  But please don't see this as a challenge.

We can perform a sensor clean on most cameras and brands including:

Once you have made your purchase, simply drop your camera off to us and it will be ready in a couple of days for collection.  If you select the 24hr service, drop your camera off and we should have it done in a couple of hours.

So, how to you know when your sensor needs cleaning and how often should you clean it?

There is no definitive answer to how often the sensor needs cleaning, our advice is only when the dirt spots become a problem.

How do I check if my sensor is dirty?

Normally, if you sensor is dirty, tiny spots will show in your images when shooting at higher F numbers, normally above F8.  The spots of dirt will be more visible in skies and solid colours.

If you think you have dirt on your sensor, the next step is to confirm this by using a white piece of paper or wall with solid colour etc - set the camera to the highest F stop the lens will go to.  It is also worth setting the lens/camera to manual focus and de-focus it so that any dirt on the paper or wall etc doesn't look like dirt spots on the sensor.
