This Hoya HMC NDX400 ND filter will reduce the light entering the camera by 9 Stops on the whole frame.

Solid ND filters are ideal for waterfalls, seascapes, reducing the depth of field on a bright day and creating motion blur.

Neutral density filters (also known as ND’s) produce a grey neutral tone and are used to reduce light, enabling more control over exposure and depth of field without affecting colour or contrast. They are especially useful in bright light conditions to avoid overexposure. Since ND filters uniformly reduce light at all wavelengths, there is no effect of the colour rendition.

This filter is multi-coated with Hoya's HMC coatings to minimise reflections on the filter surfaces.  This reduces flare, ghosting and increases light transmission.  This will help give increased image quality when compared to a cheaper un-coated filter in certain lighting conditions. The use of ultra clear glass ensures that color balance is maintained

This filter is double threaded so another filter, adapter or hood can be mounted onto it.

These filters are suitable for film and digital cameras.

Top Tip - If you are unsure of the size you require, most lens caps will have the filter thread size stamped on the back of them. The lens will also have an indication somewhere, ususally denoted by a diameter symbol ø with a number after it which indicates the filter thread size.

Free Standard UK P&P and Same Day Despatch on all orders received before 2pm!

All orders received and paid for before 2pm Monday to Friday are dispatched the very same day. Any orders received during the weekend and public holidays will be dispatched the next working day.

For UK orders (Free P&P), we use Royal Mail First Class (Recorded for higher value orders) where possible for customer convenience. For higher value & bulky orders we will use Royal Mail or a courier service depending on package weight and size.

For UK next working day orders we will use either Royal Mail special delivery or a courier service. This will be dependent on package size and weight. Please note that for next day delivery options, orders must be received & paid for before 2pm (weekday). Please make sure you supply a telephone number as our couriers require this to process the order.

For orders outside the UK, we use Royal Mail Air Mail Small Packets. For higher value & bulky orders we will use Royal Mail International Signed for or a courier service depending on package weight and size.

Postage Times

UK Standard - Normally 2 to 3 working days but please allow 7 days before contacting us regarding a missing item.

UK Next Day - Next working Day but not time guaranteed.

Europe - Normally 5 to 10 working days but please allow 15 days before contacting us regarding a missing item.

Rest of World - Normally 5 to 15 working days but please allow 20 days before contacting us regarding a missing item.
New Items

All new items will be supplied with a 12 month manufacturer warranty unless otherwise detailed in the description.  Please also note that all our items are sourced from UK distributors with full manufacturer warranties and support.  Be very wary of companies selling grey import items as they are unlikely to carry a manufacturer warranty unless you can prove that UK import duty and tax has been paid.

Second Hand Goods

Our second-hand goods and B stock items will be supplied with a 3 month warranty unless otherwise detailed in the description.

We will clearly indicate items that are not Brand New.
